The latest WoW patch (4.1) changed how the Alliance farms the Winterspring Sabre mount. It used to be a reportedly tedious grind that took forever. I spoke with someone once who had about 90 mounts and he said that was the worst to get of any of them. Now it’s equal to the Horde raptor version in Un’Goro.
Simply head to the northwest corner of Winterspring and speak to the the NPC there to start the quest chain. He’ll have you grab some cubs and then you get one that you carry in your bags and summon once a day to complete a quest. After 20 days, you return to the NPC and (I assume but I’m not sure) get your mount.
The only problem is remembering to do the quests. I’ve had the cub for 5 days and have only managed to finish two dailies.
The cub has also been added as a companion pet that can be purchased in Winterspring. Luckily it’s not BoP since the goblins still hate Ellewynne.

I’ve done the daily 4 times now and am already honored with Wintersaber Trainers. I’m not sure if it’s rep or questline completion that rewards the mount.
